Here we have another good example of a 5" gauge BR Britannia. This time 70036 'Boadicea'. Scaled up we think from the 3 1/2" LBSC Britannia drawings and sporting a nice array of Doug Hewson lost wax castings and detailing bits and bobs. The cab is a Hewson one and has a really nice level of detailing over the standard Perrier drawings. The valve gear and general machining work is nicely done and everything feels nicely tight with no significant wear and tear to worry about.
The boiler is the usual silver soldered copper one, and as with the vast majority of our complete models, she can come freshly hydraulically tested, fully commissioned and with a fresh annual steam test so she's ready to play.
Lubrication is mechanical and there's one on either side as you'd expect on a Britt. There is an injector fitted (as well as two dummy ones), there is an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve and of course there is the hand pump in the tender.
